I am a retired US resident looking for a room to rent with a family during my 6 month stay in Spain. I went to college in Paris and lived there for over 10 years before moving to America. Since moving to the US, I have had a home daycare for over 20 years, raised two daughters that live successfully on their own, and learned two additional languages. I am fluent in English, French, and Farsi. As of a few years ago, I started learning and speaking Spanish. I took trips to the Dominican Republic and Mexico to stay with host families just to enhance my Spanish speaking skills.
Last year I finally closed my home daycare that I owned for over 20 years, these children ranged from 3 months to 3 years. My retirement plan is to live in different countries for months at a time. This time, in November, I will be staying in Spain for 6 months so I can improve my Spanish speaking skills and appreciate the beautiful Spanish culture. I am a sociable and friendly person, I hope to be taking Spanish classes during the day and would like to live with a family nearby. I would be interested to help out with the kids in exchange for a room.
